Baby Blankets Made of Fleece Material

By strict definition, fleece is the woolen coat of a sheep when sheared. This is processed into yarn which is woven into fabric. Today, the term is generally used for a soft fabric, often with a deep pile. Fleece, whether natural or manmade, has qualities that make it ideal for certain products such as blankets and stuffed toys. It is lightweight and very soft to the touch.

The fleece baby blanket is popular with mommies who like to provide their babies with utmost comfort. Fleece blankets are usually simple in design; sometimes only the stitching on the edges are the decorations. These are stitches that prevent the material from unraveling. Remember the blanket stitch? They really work well with fleece blankets.
